Ayah 25

Surah Al-Mulk, Ayah 25

Reflection Questions:

1. What does the question here reflects? The level of understanding of the disbelievers. After all the warning in the previous verses, this is the question they asked?
2. Are we like these people? It doesn’t matter when the Day of Judgement is, what is important is how we prepare for it.
3. By saying “if you are truthful”, are they mocking the Prophet (ﷺ)?

Practical Tips:

1. Do not be like the disbelievers; questioning about matters of the unseen when the question should be “how do I prepare for Day of Judgement?”
2. Do not mock the Prophet (ﷺ) and the Qur’an.

Surely (as for) those who speak evil things of Allah and His Apostle, Allah has cursed them in this world and the here after, and He has prepared for them a chastisement bringing disgrace.
[33:57]

And indeed He has revealed to you in the Book that when you hear Allah's communications disbelieved in and mocked at do not sit with them until they enter into some other discourse; surely then you would be like them; surely Allah will gather together the hypocrites and the unbelievers all in hell.
[4:140]
