Ayah 18

Surah Al-Mulk, Ayah 18

Reflection Questions:

1. From the story of past nations, how did Allah punish them for their disobedience?
2. How do we ensure we will not get the same punishment?

Practical tips:

1. Go to myquranjournal blog on the Summary of Past Nations and their Punishments.
2. Share the stories of past nations with others.
3. What are ways to avoid the wrath of Allah?

And it was said: O earth, swallow down your water, and O cloud, clear away; and the water was made to abate and the affair was decided, and the ark rested on the Judi, and it was said: Away with the unjust people.
[11:44]

And they were overtaken by curse in this world and on the resurrection day; now surely Ad disbelieved in their Lord; now surely, away with Ad, the people of Hud.
[11:60]

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said,
“What I have forbidden you, stay away from. What I have ordered you [to do], do as much of it as you can. Verily, the people before you were destroyed only because of their excessive questioning and their disagreeing with their Prophets.”
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

May Allah makes us of those people who say “I hear and I obey”. Aameen.
